Funding Health in Europe

Seventh Framework Programme (FP7)

Knowledge lies at the heart of the European Union's Lisbon Strategy to become the "most dynamic competitive knowledge-based economy in the world". The ' knowledge triangle' - research, education and innovation - is a core factor in European efforts to meet the ambitious Lisbon goals. General information about the FP7 are available under the following link.

The FP7 bundles all research-related EU initiatives (even the health sector) together under a common roof playing a crucial role in reaching the goals of growth, competitiveness and employment. To see the different themes please consult the following website.

Frequently the FP7 opens calls affecting public health issues. There is special theme for Health Research with a total budget around 6,1 billion € for 2007-2013. Please seek under here .
