What's in it for you?
As well as answering questions SMEs may have about intellectual property, the IPeuropAware project organised workshops and pilot actions providing innovative IP advisory services to companies in cooperation with the Enterprise Europe Network and other business support intermediaries.
Additionally, specific sectoral IP guides, gap analysis and strategic reports have been prepared. Click here for further information on the outcomes of the project.
The IP Awareness and Enforcement: Modular Based Actions for SMEs project (IPeuropAware) ended in February 2011 and was financed by the CIP Programme, DG Enterprise and Industry of the European Commission.
What was it about?
Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) stimulate research, innovation, inventiveness and creativity. They help European business, and in particular small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), to become more competitive.
The IPeuropAware project brought together two Europe-wide initiatives under one umbrella:
• a web portal created by the National Patent and Trade Mark Offices (NPOs) to provide information on their services for the end user
• the European IPR-Helpdesk aimed to provide direct support and advice in IPR issues to current and potential beneficiaries of EU funded projects focusing on RTD and CIP, as well as to provide a general IPR support to EU SMEs in the process of negotiating or concluding transnational partnership agreements, especially through the Enterprise Europe Network
