SafeHMI is developing human-machine interfaces (HMI) for safety-critical systems.
Namahn is a human-centred design consultancy in Belgium. It specialises in customer-focused information design and interaction design of media, products and tools. Namahn is developing know-how about HMI design for safety-critical systems. These are characterised by risk (of damage to the environment or loss of life); complex tasks performed by expert users; operator control over equipment or people; and performance under time pressure. Safety-critical systems are typically found in healthcare, defence, transport, utilities and emergency management. This exhibit will present Namahn’s approach to safety-critical systems and its research projects and publications as it is interested in participating in EU research projects, including FP7.
