GEYSERS is the ‘generalised architecture for dynamic infrastructure services’ project designed to support future networks and applications.

GEYSERS, an FP7 Call 5 project, aims to provide optical infrastructure providers and network operators with a new, network architecture, capable of seamless integration and jointly providing an optical network and IT resources. The concept uses the latest advances that enable operators to run highly dynamic, cost‐efficient and application-driven networks. This technical dimension is complemented by the research on new business models that better fit the joint provision of network and IT services. This exhibit will present GEYSERS’ future optical network vision and architecture that will create new market opportunities for infrastructure providers and network operators.
