The first round of the EU-US Transatlantic Trade & Investment Partnership (TTIP) took place in Washington D.C, in the United States between 8 and 12 July 2013. The second round of negotiations will take place during the week of 7 October 2013, in Brussels.

Ahead of the first round of negotiations DG CONNECT invited stakeholders to share their views and expectations on what the TTIP could deliver for the ICT sector.
The meeting was held in Brussels on Wednesday 12 June 2013. It was co-chaired by the Director responsible for international relations in DG CONNECT, Linda Corugedo Steneberg, and the Director at DG TRADE for trade in services, investment, government procurement and intellectual property, Rupert Schlegelmilch.
