I am a practicing lawyer in Greece. I earned LL.B in Law from the University of Thessaloniki, and continued my studies in European Law at the University of Stockholm. Later I developed an interest in data protection and privacy issues pursuing a Ph.D. at the University of Macedonia with a focus on the legal framework for the protection of personal data and privacy in the electronic communications. Since then I joined the Information Technology Law Team of the university of Macedonia and have been teaching “privacy law” at the same University. In the spring term of 2013 I will be teaching "Internet Law and e-business" at the International Hellenic University. I collaboarate with the eGovernment lab of the University of Salento, in various projects and workshops and I have participated in doctoral school and conferences of LiSS Cost project .
I am particular interested on privacy law issues and how law is being shaped by both technologies and societal perceptions of privacy.
In a future which seems to be a world shaped by privacy invasive technologies the right to privacy is a key element for the development of Europe's digital future
