Lise Voldeng is a media and technology executive, inventor, and futurist. She identifies emerging developments, and creates tangible strategies, models, platforms, products, and tools to effectively harness them. Her work focuses on developments at the intersect of culture, technology, media & entertainment, science, and law.
Voldeng is currently CEO and Chief Creative Officer of Ultra-Agent Industries Inc. UAI is a media lab and technology incubator. UAI develops, incubates, and test solutions to solve global stewardship challenges - using iconoclastic entertainment and technology experiences and platforms, to inspire connection and stimulate change - culturally, energetically, and economically. UAI is incubating solutions that create prosperous economies, communities, and systems of governance – based on a foundation of responsible stewardship. It starts with the premise: “Honour Self. Honour All.” UAI will present its solutions – and those of the organizations it handpicks to support – in a two-stage incubator event.
Voldeng was CEO and CCO of sugarlab corporation, a multiplatform media development company and CEO and Managing Director of Digital Mogul, a Silicon Valley-based entertainment technology research company. Previously, she worked with Upside as a senior industry analyst, trending developments entertainment technology developments for Upside’s venture capitalist audience. She cut her teeth in advanced telecommunications and interface design, beginning her career with Idacom Electronics, which was acquired by HP’s Test and Measurement division.
Voldeng has successfully forecasted myriad emerging developments, from the rise of service media and technology models; to the death of DRM; to the rise of P2P networking, open content models, multiplatform and transmedia models, social networks, immersive entertainment experiences, and participatory communities. She was named one of the Top 10 “21st Century Media Thinkers” by Nikkei Electronics, one of the “Top 25 Women in Technology” by ZDnet/SFWOW and one of the “Women to Know in New Media” by the Online Journalism Review. She’s been profiled in publications from The Industry Standard and USA Today to The Globe and Mail and The National Post. She’s written columns for Electronic Media and Upside Today, and syndicated content to selective finance firms and media outlets globally. Voldeng is a member of the Association of Professional Futurists, a founding and judging member of the World Technology Network, and a member of the Silicon Valley Space Club. She sits on the advisory board for the SXSW Microsoft Bizspark Accelerator, as well as a handful of startups, whose visions she supports. She has advised NASA on its strategic plans, and was an invited guest of Future Shock’s anniversary summit, where global leaders debated the future of the world.
