Kaat is Managing Director of Kate Thomas & Kleyn and promiment leader in the foresight community. Apart from a foresight consultant and workshop facilitator she is also a speaker related to different future subjects.
She is also boardmember (representative Flemish Government) at the Institute for Technology and Science IWT
She holds a Master in Management department Social Science, specialisation strategic foresight methodologies, strategic analysis and corporate innovation, from the Conservatoire National des Arts & Métiers in Paris (CNAM).
With a degree in Board and Director Effectiveness at Guberna Ghent ; Entrepreneurship at the Vlerick School for Management, Ghent; Corporate Communication Management at Erasmus University in Rotterdam ; The Netherlands and Bachelor in Marketing Communication Management in Belgium
She acquired additional skills in foresight in France, UK and the US, at the University of Strathclyde Glasgow Graduate School of Business with Prof Kees van der Heijden in Scenario Planning and Strategic implementation; at the University of Manchester, Institute of Innovation Research related to foresight STEEP analysis in private and public organisations and Futurible (Paris).
