Caterina Berbenni-Rehm specializes in knowledge intensive services targeted to European SMEs, eBusiness, eLearning, eSkills and eCompetence, knowledge and technology transfer, deployment and rollout plans plans and activities, as well as practical exploitation of RTD results up to market introduction; guidance in matters concerning financing of cross-border co-operation and internationalisation of SMEs; new methods of work and collaborative working, coordination of interdisciplinary work, inter- and cross-cultural issues, virtual enterprises, ethics at work.
Generalist in: ICTs and RTD policy for Environment, Health&Safety, eHealth, Education & Digital Literacy, Micro- Nanotechnologies, Cultural Heritage. Definition and elaboration of strategic concepts and policy papers; evaluations and reviews of national and European project proposals in FP5, FP6 for DG INFSO, Leonardo, DG RES, DG ENTR; code of conducts and practices, expert advisor in preparing FP7 in ICT, eLearning and Digital Literacy, Ethics and ICT.
Evaluator,and chair of pre-screening panels among others at the European Research Council.
Caterina started her marketing career at FERRERO OHG, Frankfurt and has more than 25 years experience in knowledge & technology transfer from research to industry, as well as international marketing. She was CEO of FUTUREtec GmbH for 14 years, leading an interdisciplinary team of experts in the fields of information technology, technology and knowledge transfer from research to SMEs, market research and development, marketing strategies, deployment & rollout plans and activities, and project management.
Since 2008 she is the CEO of PROMIS@Service, (www.promis.eu) a young company based in Luxembourg, which helps European SMEs and their stakeholders to deal with a complex regulatory environment, to structure processes and data in a systematic way, and to achieve de facto compliance with legal requirements and the major international norms and standards. PROMIS® was developed with support of the European Commission and selected private investors.
