Fabrizio Amarilli is contract professor of “Information Systems” and lecturer of “Corporate Information Systems” at Politecnico di Milano

He is project manager and researcher at Fondazione Politecnico di Milano where he is now involved in the following projects: ERMES (Embedded Resonant and ModulabIE Self-Tuning Laser Cavity for Next Generation Access Network Transmitter; FP7-ICT), MODAclouds (MOdel-Driven Approach for design and execution of applications on multiple Clouds, FP7-ICT), SEHUD (Architecture and Sustainable Urban Development Based on Eco-Humanistic Principles & Advanced Technologies without Losing Identity, Tempus IV Call V), MIRACLE (Multi-level Alignment of Regional Approaches to Critical Infrastructure Resilience by Learning from Experience; HOME/2012/CIPS/AG), KNOW4DRR (Enabling knowledge for disaster risk reduction in integration to climate change adaptation, ENV.2013.6.5-2).

Previously he was WP leader in the ORECCA (Off-shore Renewable Energy Conversion Platform Coordination Action) project where he coordinated the development of the Web collaboration platform.

He holds a 16-year experience in research projects related to the use of ICT as a source of innovation and reengineering for private companies and public administration, with a special focus on SMEs. He worked as consultant in the assessment of Information System and supporting the design of the ICT evolution plan for several SMEs.

He has gaind a strong experience in the domain, through the interview/analysis of more than 100 case studies.

He is co-author of “Professione Informatica. Pianificazione, uso e gestione dei Sistemi Informativi” and “The All Around IT Professional” (editor Franco Angeli, Milano, 2007), the texts on the management of Information Systems chosen by EUCIP (the European Council of Informatics Professionals) as support to the preparation of the EUCIP core lever certification.
