Rossana ALESSANDRELLO registered to attend the ICT 2013 Event
Rossana Alessandrello holds a MSc in electronic engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, she is specialized in Bioengineering and certified in BA from the Manchester Business School.
She has accumulated more than 15 years of experience in international companies specialized in eHealth technology as Picis Inc., Telemedicine Clinic S.L., Barcelona Digital Technology Centre and now she works for the Innovation department of the Catalan Agency of Health Quality and Assessment. Her experience in healthcare ICT systems goes from electronic patient records in ICU, OR and ER and their integration with the rest of hospital information systems (HIS, LIS, order integration systems, pharmacy departments, billing and medical devices -as ventilators and infusion pumps-), to radiology information systems (as RIS and PACS) and their integration in multi-centre environment and teleradiology context. She is an expert in project management from design, development and deployment of eHealth solutions; in syntactic interoperability standards like HL7, DICOM, CCOW, ICD9/ICD10 and in regulatory aspects as ISO 9001, Data Protection Act and Information Security Management System.
In 2010 she joined the workshops organized by the European Smart Personal Health project run by The Centre, Continua Health Alliance, IHE-Europe, ETSI and Empirica and aimed to promote the interoperability of connected Personal Health Systems with the wider eHealth domain.
She teaches classes around eHealth and mHealth at different organizations. She is now the project coordinator of DECIPHER, the first FP7 cross-border pre-commercial procurement in the field of the mHealth.
