Open Clouds in Europe and Japan: Tackling Interoperability through Collaboration

Booth 8, 07/11/2013 (16:00-17:30)

The joint SUCRE-OCEAN session will engage stakeholders from Europe and Japan to present and discuss about major interoperability challenges in Open Clouds, based also on the experiences drown by the two projects during the first year of operation. Collaboration, interoperability & standards, data portability, addressing societal challenges, and bridging the gap between research and market are among the topics that the session will examine. The proposed session will tackle some of the major challenges of Horizon 2020 and Digital Agenda. It is also in-line with and supports the aims of the International Cooperation strategy and policy of the EC.

The aim of our session is to become a real “networking come together”. Cloud projects and individuals from Japan and Europe will present their work and discuss how they could closely collaborate, on what topics and what instruments are needed. Short ad hoc presentations of individuals participating in the session will be also possible. We invite you all to visit our booth and network with us!

This looks good. An overview of international standardization, such as in the case of ISO and ITU-T would be a good addition.
