Stephen YEO registered to attend the ICT 2010 Event
Stephen Yeo is Chief Executive Officer of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). CEPR [www.cepr.org] is the leading European research network in economics, and brings together over 750 European economists who produce applied theory and empirical work on a wide range of economic policy issues. The Centre is the focus of most European research on international economics, financial regulation and European economic integration. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s the Centre had an important impact on policies toward European economic integration, from monetary union to the completion of the internal market.
While at CEPR Yeo launched the Centre for Comparative European Policy Evaluation, which carried out research and policy analysis with an explicitly comparative and European focus. He also launched Vox, the Centre's new policy portal (www.voxeu.org), which is now the most popular economic policy website in the world, and ranked in the top ten economics blogs worldwide.
Yeo also served as a Principal Consultant at Bannock Consulting [www.bannock.co.uk] until 2004. He led Bannock’s Economic Policy Group and was responsible for work on international trade, private sector development, monitoring and evaluation, and knowledge management for policy analysis. Yeo has also had extensive involvement in building capacity for policy research, in the EU, Sub-Saharan Africa and the former Soviet Union.
