Manufacturing Design & Product Lifecycle Management (Digital Factories)
The objective of the session is to bring European partners from industry and academia together to address issues related to Objective 7.4 of ICT WP2011-12. Proposals should address the early stages of manufacturing and engineering through interoperable models, engineering platforms, computer-assisted product and process development and analysis, and virtual prototyping and testing environments to reduce the need for physical mock-ups.
Coordinator: Rolf RIEMENSCHNEIDER (European Commission, Embedded Systems & Control, Belgium)

I am interesting about R&D collaboration in fields connected with tools for modelling and simulation of full complex products and processes
Further than interest stemming from participation to RTD from 1st PPP FoF call, and related ICT/IST, AAT initiatives, over time believe that PPP FoF can evolve to be a leading model allowing for faster transfer, consolidation, and integration of similar, relevant, or requisite results of SoA initiatives from the majority of the FPs Programme areas towards common over-arching target, thus allowing to really see what next level concepts could later be pursued.
