New collaborative networks will point to future internet research resulting in increased commercial advantage for European firms.
The objective is to promote European collaboration around the advanced technologies and business models associated with the demands of the future internet. The session will bring together leaders from industry and academia to explore the challenges that must be addressed if Europe is to maintain its global leadership position. In addition to presenting the core platform for the future internet, it will look at demands from the key areas of use. These include the requirements of smart energy grids, smart cities, connected health, content-based media and cloud computing. Participants will see just where the research opportunities exist and will be able to meet the organisations and individuals driving the future internet agenda.
