ICT 2010

Networked Multimedia Technologies with Security and Privacy Aspects

T 013, 28/09/2010 (16:00-17:30)

Current concerns about security and privacy in multimedia delivery platforms underline the need for trustworthy ICT.

Research on data storage and transmission is increasingly focused on the development of algorithms concerned with data management, protection and the search and retrieval of digital data. Given the increasing availability of various advanced multimedia broadcasting services, this trend is likely to continue. However, this raises security and privacy concerns as well as performance constraints. One approach to this problem is intelligent multimedia delivery platforms and privacy management infrastructures. This session will address issues around Europe’s action plan for networked media technologies and trustworthy ICT.
