This is a stand in the SME village, located in Zone C: SME Village. Stand number: C12
The robot, Kompaï was developed by the French company Robosoft to assist dependent people, such as the elderly, at home.
Kompaï is designed to help those people who cannot lead independent lives for reasons of illness, disability or age. It can speak, understand what is said, find its way around the house, and access all internet services. Its development is partially funded by the EC programme AAL (Ambient Assisted Living) and the French National Research Agency (L’Agence nationale de la recherche), the ANR. Kompaï is the very first version and is intended for developers who want to implement their own robotics application to assist dependent people so that they can stay longer and safer at home. This exhibit will demonstrate the current state of such an assistive robot, with a real robot interacting with real visitors!
