The NZICT group is a New Zealand ICT industry association positioning IT as the key to the country’s development and competitiveness.
ICT is a strategic priority for both NZ and the EU, as is increasing research co-operation in this field. This exhibit aims to increase ICT research co-operation between Europe and New Zealand by providing information and networking opportunities. It is part of a coordinated NZ presence and builds on its previous collaboration in Europe. The aim is to help European and NZ researchers to increase their co-operation under the FP7 ICT theme by providing information on NZ ICT research programmes and capabilities, setting up a meeting point for visitors, increasing European understanding of how to partner with NZ under FP7, and enabling European ICT researchers to register ‘partner search’ information to enhance contacts with relevant NZ ICT researchers.
