This is a technology or research stand, located in Zone R6 - Content and Knowledge. Stand number: R6-15
SKILLS, the ‘multimodal interfaces for capturing and transfer of skill’ project, is looking into human-computer interaction.
This exhibit is organised by the FP6 SKILLS Integrated Project which is aiming to introduce a novel approach to capturing, transferring and assessing skills. The approach is based on the enactive (human-computer) learning and training model, with multi-sensory interaction between the human operator and the interface system. On the stand, SKILLS will demonstrate new technologies for the acquisition and transfer of human skills through multimodal interfaces, robotics and virtual environments. Visitors will get an overview of the training systems and can interact with enactive interfaces. These will enable them to learn from practice and to use the multimodal feedback to enhance their training in terms of proper cognitive and sensory motor information.
