Dibidogs: Augmented Reality with 3D animated children's TV series
This is a technology or research stand, located in Zone R1 - Smart Systems. Stand number: R1-09
Dibidogs is a new children’s TV series that uses augmented reality technology to animate the puppies in 3D.
Augmented reality (AR) is the technique of superimposing virtual objects in the user's view of the real world, providing a novel visualisation technology for a wide range of applications. This exhibit is organised by the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, which is a globally networked, multi-technological, contract research organisation. Besides demonstrations of AR applications on the stand, with the focus on Dibidogs, there will also be a video of other AR applications developed by VTT over the years, ranging from games and virtual worlds to architecture and production. The Research Centre is also coordinator of two AR-related EU FP7 projects and a member of EuroVR, the European association for virtual reality and augmented reality.
