This is a stand in the Belgian National Pavilion, located in Zone B: Belgium National Pavillion. Stand number: B08 - 3 days
B-PHOT is the name of Brussels’ photonics team, a VUB (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) research group studying light technology.
Visitors to this exhibit, organised by B-PHOT, will see how photonics – the science and technology of light – impacts the quality of our daily lives. The team will provide lively examples and hands-on demonstrations of cutting-edge research results based on the technology of light. It will show how such scientific findings are transferred ‘from the lab to the fab’ and how finally they result in exciting applications that improve the quality of our daily lives. Demonstrations will include 3D projection systems, optical skins for robots, photonic chips for the car industry, modules for ‘fibre to the home’, food inspection based on laser technology, biophotonic ‘labs on a chip’, and many more.
Coordinator: Hugo THIENPONT (Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Deparment of Applied Physics and Photonics, Belgium)
