TECHNOLIFE, an FP7-funded research project, is developing an ICT-based platform for public deliberation on ethical aspects of ICTs and emerging technologies.
The TECHNOLIFE project, which involves partners from six European countries, is focusing on three technologies with regard to their social and ethical implications. These cover geographical information systems and environmental conflicts; technologies of body modification and enhancement, with a special focus on nanotechnology, biotechnology and cognitive science; and biometrics, highlighting surveillance and mobility. Visitors to this session will be shown a short film, Digital Globes, and invited to take part in an ethical debate.
