Digital Agenda for Europe
A Europe 2020 Initiative

ICT 2010

IoT - Internet of Things Networking Session Europe (organised by the IoTi and IoT-A)

T 006, 28/09/2010 (14:00-15:30)

Stakeholders have an opportunity to become involved in internet of things activities in Europe and exchange opinions and ideas.

Two presentations on the internet of things (IoT) vision and related innovation needs will be given by the IoT initiative (IoT-i), which is dedicated to gathering the IoT community in Europe, and the cluster of European IoT research projects (IERC). These presentations will be followed by a presentation highlighting strategies to establish a common IoT architecture by the newly initiated central R&D lighthouse project IoT Architecture (IoT-A). Finally, four newly established EU R&D projects will then present specific topics and ideas with the purpose of contributing to the overall European IoT strategy. The session will be concluded by a panel discussion and Q&A.

IoT vision and innovation needs as well as a common IoT architecture constitutes a very attractive networking session. I will attend this session and I'm looking forward to the panel discussion.

Please note the "sister" networking session "Connecting the worlds- IoT International" that will take place in the same room at 4.00 p.m. the same day. Experts from Europe, Japan and Brazil will give an outlook on IoT in their countries, and interactive sessions allow participants to ask the panel about crucial issues like privacy, security etc. More Info: http://ec.europa.eu/information_society/events/cf/ict2010/item-display.cfm?id=3307

Interesting topic! I plan to attend! Is there any information on how the session will be organised? Will the attendees have the chance to present a few slides? If so do we need to send them to the coordinator in advance? Thanks

YubiTech is a highly innovative SME dealing with research, development and implementation of Mobile Extension to the legacy Client-Server service systems. By using an innovative technology of Object Based Virtualization (OBV) and an easy to use tool of linking PC Client UI into the Mobile Extension users of Mobile Phone can manage and control their information systems (ERP, GIS, CRM, HomeGrown apps etc.). YubiTech technology can be used for the Controlling front end of IoT systems. ICT2010 attendees are welcome to call me on alshani@netvision.net.il for further information and common projects
