Buidling Energy Watcher: Beywatch
This is a technology or research stand, located in Zone R3 - Green ICT. Stand number: R3-11
Beywatch, the ‘building energy watcher’ project, will provide intelligent energy monitoring/control and power-demand balancing.
Visitors can learn about the FP7 Beywatch project’s achievements addressing ICT applied to energy savings for the home and neighbourhoods. It was chosen as the best ICT for energy-efficiency project by the EC early this year. Several key innovations will be shown, enabling visitors to experience how ICT could be used to reduce the energy consumption in homes and buildings and support the deployment of smart grids, thus reducing CO2 emissions. The exhibition will include demonstrations/prototypes of the Beywatch project: business support services tool; graphical user interface; energy consumption monitoring tool; new energy aware white goods; energy watchers; and a cartoon introducing the concepts through a family case study.
