Future Steps in ICT for the Fully Electric Vehicle

The aims of this networking session are the exchange of ideas, the building of a R&D community and a debate about future programmes and projects on ICT for the Fully Electric Vehicle.

The session will be organized by the ICT4FEV project which is the coordination action of the ICT pillar of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) European Green Cars Initiative. Representatives the ICT4FEV project consortium will talk about the benefits and challenges of electrified mobility, the role of ICT as enabling technologies for the FEV, and the recommendations of the PPP European Green Cars Initiative. Moreover, future priorities in terms of research and development, manufacturing, integration and standardisation particularly related to smart components and systems of the FEV will be discussed interactively with the audience, and suggestions for lighthouse projects in FP8 shall be made.

Electrical vehicles give very little noise when driving in low speeds. How can we use smart sound design to improve security and to make the driving more interesting.

we have a call open under GC.SST.2011.7-1 "Specific safety issues of electric vehicles" closing on 2 December 2010.
