ERCIM & ETSI: Boosting Innovation through R&D and Standardisation
This is an information stand, located in Zone E: Information Booths. Stand number: E08
Key organisations involved in ICT research and standardisation in Europe will team up for the first time at this major event.
ERCIM (the European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics) and the ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute) will jointly demonstrate that standardisation should be considered early in the R&D cycle in order to optimise the markets for European industry. ERCIM – the European host of W3C, the World Wide Web consortium – is a European economic interest grouping comprising leading research institutes from 20 European countries. The consortium aims to foster excellence in ICT research. ETSI is recognised by the EU as a European standards organisation, and produces globally applicable standards for ICT, including fixed, mobile, radio, converged, broadcast and internet technologies.
Coordinator: Peter KUNZ (ERCIM, France)
