BeAware is a project on boosting energy awareness designed to motivate and empower citizens to become active energy consumers.
BeAware is an FP7 Specific Targeted Research Project that is hoping to foster the creation of new services for changing householders into active energy players and inspiring the develoment of new services and products on energy awareness. It is delivering mobile and ambient interface technologies aimed at increasing user awareness of energy consumption at home, while boosting energy conservation practices. BeAware is also delivering new wireless sensors to measure power consumption. This exhibit will have a fully interactive home-like scenario on the stand. Visitors will feel fully immersed in this “house of the future”, and will have the possibility of trying out and playing ‘energy life’, a community-inspired pervasive game.
