The ENIAC Joint Undertaking brings together Member States, the European Commission and experts in the nanoelectronics field with the aim of fostering European growth and competitiveness.
The ENIAC (European Nanoelectronics Initiative Advisory Council) Joint Undertaking (JU), set up in February 2008, is implementing the Joint Technology Initiative on nanoelectronics. It brings together stakeholders to coordinate research activities through competitive calls for proposals, such as the further integration and miniaturisation of devices, the development of new materials, new architectures, new innovative manufacturing processes and new packaging methods. The ENIAC JU will drive and be driven by innovative high-tech applications in communication and computing, transport, healthcare and wellness, energy and environmental management, security and safety, and entertainment.
