Furthering ICT research co-operation between Europe and Asia-Pacific, specifically with Korea, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, is the aim of EURASIAPAC.
This project, funded through the FP7 2009 ICT work programme, builds on previous initiatives such as COJAK and ASIACOOP. It addresses international co-operation issues at the policy and research level by proposing a mutually beneficial ICT research co-operation strategy. To this end, the project will carry out an in-depth survey of ICT research environments as well as relevant events in Europe and the partner countries to further engage stakeholders. In addition, it will provide researchers with an interactive tool to actually initiate international collaboration by establishing the EURASIAPAC co-operation portal which will be based on collaborative Web2.0 technology.
