Funding opportunities

This publication is made pursuant to Article 124.1 (b) of the Rules of Application of the Financial Regulation that provides for an ex ante publication on the Institutions' websites of contracts with a value up to 60.000 EUR. Only the candidates invited by the contracting authority to participate in the procedure for awarding this low value contract will be admissible. Purpose of this call for tenders: The European Commission will launch soon a call for tenders for a framework contract in cascade of a maximum value of EUR 60.000 € The purpose of this call for tenders is to deliver in DG CONNECT a series of trainings on telecommunication networks and technologies for a period of four years in accordance with description of the services required included in the annex attached in the link. Horizon 2020 – Societal challenge Health, demographic change and wellbeing - Personalising Health and Care workprogramme 2014-2015 (H2020-PHC-2014-2015) contains the following 4 topics related to active and healthy ageing with ICT:

  • PHC-19-2014: Advancing active and healthy ageing with ICT: service robotics within assisted living environments
  • PHC-20-2014: Advancing active and healthy ageing with ICT: ICT solutions for independent living with cognitive impairment
  • HCO-01-2014: Support for the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing
  • HCO-02-2014: Joint programming: Co-ordination action for the joint programming initiative (JPI) 'more years better lives the challenges and opportunities of demographic change'

DG CNECT has decided to cancel the ongoing procurement procedure for Lot 1 of the call SMART 2013/0072 - Framework Contract for the Monitoring of Public Sector Innovation and supporting services, and re-publish the call for that lot. The cancelation is due to the fact that some CPV codes were erroneously omitted from the original publication.

DG CNECT will re-publish the call for tenders for Lot 1 of the before mentioned procedure and allow a similar time period as the one allowed originally for tender preparation: 46 days. The corrigendum will shortly be published in the Official Journal.

Candidates that have submitted tenders for the cancelled Lot 1 may maintain their tenders for the re-published call or re-submit new tenders. Candidates that wish to maintain their tenders for the re-published call should inform the Commission via e-mail to before the deadline for the submission of tenders in the re-published call.

The procurement procedure for Lots 2 and 3 take place as originally stipulated, with the opening of tenders taking place on Friday, December 13, at 14:30h in the Commission Building BU25.

The European Commission will launch a call for tenders for a service contract of a maximum value of EUR 60 000 on MSS, Mobile Satellite Services.

The purpose of the study is to collect comprehensive and systemized information on (a) the MSS (satellite component) and CGC authorisation regimes put in place by the Member States, (b) the actual MSS and CGC authorisations issued to the selected operators by the relevant authorities of the Member States and (c) national enforcement rules applicable to the MSS and CGC authorisations, including specific remedies adopted, in case the selected operators failed to comply with any conditions attached to their authorisations as required by laws of the respective Member States.
