The Convergent Science Network (CSN) for Biomimetics and Neurotechnology (FET Proactive co-ordination Activity) is co-organising the 5th edition of the Living Machines conference. This event will focus on biomimetic and biohybrid systems, and the demonstrations of state-of-the-art living machine technologies. Call for papers, satellite events and sponsors is now open. Summer of HPC is a programme organized by the Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe (PRACE) which offers summer placements at HPC centres across Europe. The programme starts with a kick-off training week at Juelich Supercomputing Centre attended by all participants. The training gives participants the opportunity to learn and share more about PRACE and HPC. Students will spend two months working on projects related to PRACE technical or industrial work to produce a visualisation or video. Applications open on 13 January 2016. Read more
