In the context of the preparation of the Horizon 2020 forthcoming Work Programmes, the European Commission carried out a consultation to provide input for research and innovation activities at EU level in the area of ICT-enabled public sector innovation, which resulted in the Orientation Paper below.

It has been compiled on the one hand from expert discussions and inputs made during and after a workshop on 31/01/2013 in Brussels. See the Expert Workshop Report below.

In addition, an online public consultation was carried out that invited stakeholders (administrations, businesses, researchers, innovators, academia and users). This consultation was open from 08/03/2013 to 15/04/2013. The European Commission launched today an online public consultation on research and innovation in ICT-driven public sector innovation. The answers will help to prepare Horizon 2020 forthcoming Work Programmes. All the interested stakeholders: national administrations, businesses, researchers, innovators, academia and interested users can provide their ideas on research and innovation activities at the EU level. The aim of the online public stakeholder consultation on “Roadmaps for the widespread use and broad acceptance of mHealth solutions” is to collect evidence on the most important needs and requirements that must be satisfied in order to facilitate the deployment of mHealth solutions. MovingLife EU funded project is seeking advice, comments and input on stakeholders’ specific areas of interest and expertise to address the requirements and challenges of the components that characterise the gaps that need to be filled in the roadmap. The consultation process will run until 17 September 2012 and the results from the consultation will be used to revise and fine-tune the preliminary roadmaps into a consolidated roadmap for mHealth. This final roadmap and an action plan for its incorporation will be presented and discussed at a large stakeholder conference in Brussels in the beginning of 2013. Read more
