For the first time ZENIT / NRW.Europa will offer at the Healthcare Brokerage Event on the MEDICA 2014 a special P2P-Brokerage Event for public purchasers of the health sector in Europe to meet other public purchasers interested in realizing Innovation Procurement (IP) projects. The aim of this event is to assist purchasers to find partners for joint cross-border procurement projects and to participate in the new innovation co-fund actions Public Procurement of Innovative Solutions (PPI) and Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP) of the new European Framework Programme for Research and Innovation - HORIZON 2020. The 1st International Workshop on Wearable Robotics was held in Baiona (Spain) in September, with the participation of over 240 delegates from all six continents. European research groups, industries and hospitals proactively participated in the discussions, which addressed all main topics and challenges in relation to the design, control, interfacing with human operators, benchmarking and regulatory aspects of Wearable Robotics in general, with a special focus on Lower Extremity Wearable Robotics for rehabilitation and assistance.
