A survey carried out in about 1,800 hospitals in the 28 EU countries plus Iceland and Norway measures the level of deployment and take-up of ICT and eHealth applications in acute care hospitals in Europe. Read more

The study was carried out with the objectives of: a) measuring the level of availability and use of eHealth in primary care; b) examining what drives or hampers the overall level of eHealth adoption. Besides basic ICT information and infrastructures, the key pillars of eHealth that have been measured include: Electronic Health Record (EHR), Health Information Exchange (HIE), TeleHealth, and Personal Health Record (PHR). Enhancing consumer knowledge is one of the four pillars of the EU Consumer Agenda. In line with this policy objective, AIM, the European Brand Association, and BEUC, the European Consumer Organisation, joined forces to develop a set of common principles for consumer information and tested them on logos. The results of this joint research were presented at a Roundtable in February in presence of Members of the European Parliament, senior EU officials and other stakeholders. Read more

The European Cloud Partnership (ECP) brings together industry and the public sector to work on common procurement requirements for cloud computing in an open and fully transparent way. The ECP Steering Board provided advice to the Commission on strategic options to turn cloud computing into an engine for sustainable economic growth, innovation and cost-efficient public and private services.
