In May 2014, FET launched a consultation to identify promising and potentially game-changing directions for future research in any technological domain. Nearly 500 contributions have been received, suggesting new topics, or further refining previously identified topics. Regarding the formulation of new FET proactive calls, we are gradually converging on a range of topics for which FET may provide funding under its Proactive scheme. Read more
With 85 delegates from 29 African and European countries involved in vivid panel discussions, networking sessions and demonstrations the "e-Infrastructures for Africa: Gateways to the Future" conference held in Brussels on 29 October 2014 has been considered a big success in the context of EU-Africa international cooperation.
