Public Consultation on ICT Standards Specification UBL 2.1

The European Commission has launched a public consultation of sectoral experts in the context of the identification of ICT Technical Specification UBL 2.1. The consultation is based on the advice provided by the European multi-stakeholder platform on ICT standardisation, an advisory expert group on all matters related to ICT standardisation.

The European Multi-stakeholder Platform on ICT Standardisation, which includes European standardisation organisations, Member States and relevant stakeholders, has evaluated the OASIS Universal Business Language version 2.1 (UBL 2.1) ICT technical specification against the criteria set out in Annex II of Regulation 1025/2012 and has given a positive advice to its identification by the Commission (see evaluation report).

To provide the Commission with the best evidence base for its Decision, a number of relevant experts are asked to submit written comments on the questions raised in the questionnaire below.

The consultation of experts will be open from 4 July 2014 to 4 August 2014.
