eHealth Saves Lives And Costs - MyHeart on Deutsche Welle

Modern medicine can treat increasing numbers of illnesses but costs are rising rapidly. At the Medica 2009 exhibition in Dusseldorf, the focus was on eHealth - technologies which reduce hospital workloads and lower treatment costs. Deutsche Welle (DW) took the opportunity to report about innovative eHealth solutions from the MyHeart project. Video-reportage is now available in English and German.

The unobtrusive monitoring of cardiac patients through daily objects such as a vest, a PDA or a scale – can help improve quality of care and reduce hospital stays, says Prof. Dr. Christian Zugck from the University Hospital of Heidelberg on Deutsche Welle.
