Journalists & Media

Journalists attending ICT2013 can register direcly at the venue. There will be a "press" registration desk at the entrance. You will be granted access to the press working room and receive support from our media team during the event.

DAY1

06 Nov.

09.40 – H.E. President of the Republic of Lithuania D.Grybauskaitė visits the Lithuanian Village

10.00 – 12.00: Opening plenary

12.00 – 12.30: Opening of the Exhibition

16.30 – 17.00: Join Robert Madelin, European Commission's DG CONNECT Director-General, for an informal chat/press briefing (press room 5.2).

As of 18:00: Social evening in “Pramogų Arena“ with special dance and light show

DAY2

07 Nov.

AM – Visit the exhibition, the investors' forum and/or the student's corner

12.20 – 12.40: ICT For Women awards (Hall 3)

13.30 – 14.00: Signature of the Lithuanian Coalition for Growth and Jobs in presence of European Commission Vice-President Neelie Kroes and Rimantas Sinkevičius, Minister for Transport and Communications, Dainius Pavalkis, Minister for Education and Science  and  Aivaras Tušas , Vice-Minister for Social Security and Labour. Short press point and photo opportunities. (Investors forum)

14.00 – 14.40: Follow VP Neelie Kroes for a tour of the exhibition

and/or  14:00-15:30: Meet the finalists and winner of the Student ICT research project competition

16.00 – 17.30: Attend conference session "ICT for Industrial leadership" in hall 3 and hear VP Neelie Kroes' keynote speech on big data for Europe

DAY3

08 Nov.

11.00 – 12.30: Take part in the conference session "Digital Futures" and enter a journey into 2050's futures and policy challenges (Hall 3)

12.30 – 13.00: Best ICT2103 Exhibitor award (podium in exhibition hall)

and/or 12.30 – 13:00: ICT2013 Hackathon award (student's corner)

Also, because digital policy and digital science are closely bound with each other, we share with you the good news that EU leaders have agreed to create a Connected Continent and underlined the role of digital innovation in our economy. We recommend you to take a look at the latest EU Council conclusions in your language.
