ICT Proposers' Day | 9-10 October 2014

The ICT Proposers' day 2014 is a networking event organised by the European Commission to promote European ICT Research and Innovation. The event focuses on the Horizon 2020 Work Programme 2015 and will be held in Florence, Italy on the 9th and 10th of October 2014.

This event, organised by the European Commission, is specifically dedicated to networking and promoting research and innovation in the field of Information and Communication Technologies. The event will focus on networking for the Horizon 2020 Work Programme 2015.

The event, free of charge, offers an exceptional occasion to build quality partnerships as it will connect academia, research institutes, industrial stakeholders, SMEs and government actors from all over Europe. The registration to attend the event is now open. Read more and register.

About the event

The ICT Proposers' day 2014 will be held in Florence as an information fair, on the 9th and 10th October 2014 and will aim at:

  1. Networking
    • Networking sessions organised according to the Pillars and Topics of the Work Programme 2015 where potential proposers present their project ideas
    • Booths, organised per villages, which serve as meeting points for people interested in the same research topics
    • Ample space for informal networking and bilateral pre-arranged meetings between participants

  2. Providing information
    • Information sessions on how to prepare and submit a proposal
    • Topic information stands where European Commission officials provide up-to-date information on the research and innovation topics of the Work Programme 2015 and the content of the calls for proposals
    • A European Commission ICT information desk to supply information on relevant topics, along with other information stands

Satellite events and workshops are also planned on the 8th of October.More information will be available soon.


This event is organised by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology in cooperation with The Italian Presidency, The Region of Tuscany, The Municipality of Florence and The University of Florence.
