Dr. Mikko Huuskonen started his professional career in the private sector, as managing director of the Finnish cable TV association 1990-1996 and as corporate lawyer and VP for legal and IPR at Radiolinja ltd. 1997-2003 (mobile telecom operator, part of Elisa plc). After doctoral dissertation in jurisprudence (“Copyright, Mass Use and Exclusivity”, 2006) he became employed first by the Ministry of Education as Secretary of the Copyright Council (2005-2008) and later by Ministry of Employment and the Economy as Secretary General of the National IPR Strategy (2008->).
He visited the European Commission (DG CNECT) 2011-2012 as a national expert in professional training (NEPT). Currently he is Counsellor and advisor to the Director General in the Department of Enterprise and Innovation.
