The objective of the event was to inform about e-Infrastructure topics and calls planned in the Horizon 2020 Work Programme 2014-15.
Thierry Van der Pyl, Director of Excellence in Science of DG CNECT, welcomed the 250 participants interested in knowing the new opportunities offered by H2020.
Those who couldn't attend can have a look at the presentations made by our colleagues. There you can find the scope of the priorities, the calls and the instruments for the different topics (HPC, data and computing, VRE, skills) as well as the new Horizon 2020 Rules for participation together with the newly introduced opportunities for innovation actions.
I hope the participants found as interesting as I did, the 35 proposers ideas and enjoyed networking with other actors in the field: researchers and scientists from all scientific fields, e-Infrastructure providers (Géant, PRACE, EGI, EUDAT, RDA, OpenAIRE, etc), consultants, industries, etc.
If you missed the opportunity to attend, don't worry: here are the recorded sessions!
Don't forget that the deadline for the first call is already on 14/4/2014 (EINFRA-2-2014: e-Infrastructure for Open Access)!
Cheers and stay tuned with @eInfraEU on Twitter and by email email@example.com.
Details of the calls can be found in the participant portal.
