The Going Local Belgium event took place on June 11, 2015 in Brussels. A variety of topics including a review of the Digital Agenda Scoreboard, societal dimension and Belgium's digital skills and an overview of 'Digital Belgium' were presented. The issue of skills and jobs was given prominent attention in this session. The event was chaired by the Belgian Digital Champion, Mrs Saskia Van Uffelen.

The team of Going Local representatives introduced themselves and were available for interactions during the networking lunch and a Q&A session. Further information is available in the programme, list of participants, presentations and reports.

Going Local gives participants the opportunity to have a say in the development of the European Digital Single Market (DSM) strategy and for us to get a better understanding of national and local digital realities. In 2013, Going Local aimed at raising awareness of the Digital Agenda for Europe. Following positive feedback on the past rounds, events focusing on the DSM Strategy are in progress for this year

Senior European Commission staff members organise the Going Local events together with the Commission Representation in your country and the Digital Champion. Discuss the digital single market online on Digital4EU.
