What can we do for you?

When the need arises, DG Translation issues calls for tender for translation work into and out of the official EU languages. Are you an individual translator or a translation company interested in tendering for freelance work? Our open calls section may be of interest to you.

Who are we?

The External Translation unit handles relations with contractors. About a quarter of DG Translation's work is done by external translators all over the EU. We recruit them, assign work, provide information and support, carry out quality checks and, of course, pay them.
