Sign Language Interpreting.
Simultaneous interpreting into sign language.
Sign language interpreters work in meetings with deaf participants and interpret from spoken language into signed language and from signed language into spoken. The interpreter sits or stands, clearly visible, in front of the deaf delegates.
Although many gestures and expressions are universally recognisable across national and cultural boundaries, there is no single, universal sign language that everyone understands. There are more than 100 sign languages and dialects in the world.
