Isabel Maria ALMEIDA

Degree in Portuguese Studies from the University of Lisbon (UNL), Masters in Medieval Studies from UNL (1999) and Doctorate in History of Religions and Religious Anthropology from the Université de Paris IV – Sorbonne (2003). Isabel Almeida taught at the UNL prior to beginning as a translator at the European Commission in 1988. In 2006, while a member of the `Culture` unit of the Commission's Directorate-General for Education and Culture, she was responsible for preparing the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue – 2008.
