Expert groups

In order to broaden and diversify the sources of advice further, BEPA has decided, in agreement with the President, to set up high level expert groups in each of the three policy areas outlined before. These expert groups bring together officials from other Commission services and selected external experts from academia, policy centres and the business community. Each of the groups has a steering committee to plan its work, prepare the meetings and ensure the follow-up. The groups' meetings are chaired by the President of the Commission and are attended by the Commissioners concerned, the members of the steering committee and external members selected by the President from amongst prestigious persons in academia and civil society in general.

The groups are the following:

Group of Political Analysis (GPA)

Group of Economic Policy Analysis (GEPA)

Group of Societal Policy Analysis (GSPA)
