Conference on Global Governance, World Prosperity and Development,
12-13 May 2009
Palais d'Egmont - Bruxelles
On 12-13 May 2009, the European Commission will organise a High Level International Conference at the Palais d'Egmont in Brussels on World Prosperity and Development.
The Conference will bring together distinguished personalities from the political and academic worlds for an informed debate on human development, climate change and global finance and the question of what the EU can contribute to global governance.
The Conference will be opened by the President of the European Commission, José Manuel Barroso and closed by Commissioner Catherine Ashton.

Participation in the Conference is by invitation only.
Summary proceedings will be published in book form.
