Scientific support to European industrial competitiveness: Roundtable with Industry Chief Scientists
The Joint Research Centre is organising a roundtable with Industry Chief Scientists entitled “Scientific Support to European Industrial Competitiveness” on 15 February 2012 in Brussels. At this event the Joint Research Centre aims to bring together scientific advisers from industry and the scientific community as well as the relevant services of the European Commission to define the science needs of industry in key sectors.
The meeting is organised in close collaboration with the European Academies Science Advisory Council, gathering the main national science academies of the European Union.
Participants comprising R&D chiefs from companies and heads of industry associations of key sectors (such as automobile, energy, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, chemicals etc) as well as high-ranking representatives from the science community and the European Commission will consider the main challenges in an interactive discussion.
