Administrative agent - Reception of goods / customs
As the Commission's in-house science service, the mission of the Joint Research Centre (JRC) is to provide EU policies with independent, evidence-based scientific and technical support throughout the whole policy cycle. Being a Directorate-General of the European Commission, the JRC functions both as the in-house science service of the Commission and as a reference centre for science and technology for the Union. The vacancy is within the Ispra Site Management (ISM) Directorate, in the Assets and Logistics Unit (C.3). The aim of the Ispra Site Management is to make the Ispra site an attractive working environment by providing efficient customer-driven services to facilitate the current and future scientific activities of the Ispra Institutes.
An interesting position as contract staff (FG I) with the following profile:
- Reception of goods /customs:
- Control the quality of goods on arrival and ensure organization, preparation and storage of goods deposited in the warehouse.
- Preparation of documents for clearance through customs for international or national destinations.
- Registration of documents for customs clearance on entry to the JRC through the Italian customs on site.
- Assist in the everyday administrative work within the sector, registration of invoices in jipsy /abac.
The successful candidate will join a very dynamic team.
We look for
The candidate must be on a valid EPSO reserve list for Function Group I contract staff. Persons who are currently working with a FG I 3a type of contract at the European Commission are eligible to apply.
The ideal candidate is expected to have job-related experience of at least 1 year. The working language is Italian and English, therefore a good knowledge of both languages is an advantage.
