Karlsruhe (DE) - 14/09/09 - 18/09/09
20th International Congress on X-Ray Optics and Microanalysis
The 20th International Congress on X-Ray Optics and Microanalysis, co-organised by the JRC Institute for Transuranium Elements (ITU), is underway in Karlsruhe.
The ICXOM series of conferences is dedicated to the fields of X-ray optics and micro (nano) analysis by means of X-ray beams (with an emphasis this year on synchrotron sources), electrons or other energetic particles.
The conferences serve as a platform for discussion and information exchange for users and experts involved in these fields, as well as newcomers. The ICXOM20 meeting aims to highlight recent progress in fundamental and applied research in X-ray optics and micro- and nano-analysis, including application examples as well as methodological and instrumental developments.
An introductory satellite seminar "Induction to synchrotron-based micro & nano analysis and imaging techniques" for students and post-docs was held on Monday, 14 September. The conference goes on until 18 September.
